Wounds

In our first lesson of Special Effects Make-Up we were all given our brand new Special Effects kits which I found very exciting. We went through all the products in our kit with Kat and Sue to familiarize ourselves with them.

We were then told that the first thing we will be doing in the unit is looking at wounds and creating our very own wound on a partner. Kat wrote all different types of wounds down on a piece of paper and folded them up and put them into a hat. She then went around the class and each student had to pick one out of the hat, I chose Snake Bite. 

Once I knew what wound I had, ready for next week I had to think about how I will be creating the wound, this included a lot of research. I had to think about where about's on the body the bite will be situated, how big is the bite, what type of Snake Bite it is and whether or not the bite is fresh or old.
